A change in career brought a lifelong animal lover to dog grooming — and it turned out to be the most natural fit imaginable. After completing formal qualifications in Dog Grooming and Behaviour/Training (including basic care for dogs), the home studio in Box Hill North opened its doors.
The name says it: every dog arrives however they arrive — tangled, muddy, scruffy — and leaves looking their absolute best. Not because it's fast, but because the time is taken to do it properly.
"At first, it may take longer than a normal grooming session — but in my experience, once they start trusting you, future sessions are shorter. It's worth the patience."
This is a home-based studio, not a commercial salon. There’s no conveyor belt of back-to-back appointments, no crate between sessions. One dog at a time, in a calm and familiar environment, handled by someone who genuinely loves the work.
“It is my number one priority to make all dogs feel relaxed and safe. Taking my time grooming your dog is extremely important to the mission of From Shabby to Chic Groomers. I promise to love every dog as if it was my own, providing the utmost care and attention to detail.”The Groomer, Shabby to Chic
